about sloday

sloday is for people who have stopped apologizing for their pace.

Baked pastries in a dish with a lit candle on a wooden surface no rush

a candle for the pace you are actually moving at

sloday is built around one idea: how you move matters more than how fast. like the snail who takes her time but always gets where she's going, sloday is for people who've stopped apologizing for their pace and started owning it.

from my slow day to yours

i spent years moving as fast as I possibly could. taking on the next project, glorifying the 5am to 9am before the 9 to 5, and buying into the idea that if you are not moving at full speed, you are falling behind.

and for a while, it worked. until it did not.

i spent years moving as fast as i possibly could. taking on the next project, glorifying the 5am to 9am before the 9 to 5, and buying into the idea that if you are not moving at full speed, you are falling behind.

and for a while, it worked. until it did not.

at some point, i had to step back and admit that the grind does not protect you, and it certainly does not make you happier. honestly, i started wondering why we are all like this. why does moving slowly feel like something we have to explain? why does rest have to be earned before we let ourselves have it?

so i started a candle brand. obviously.

candle making has always been something i loved because it forces you to slow down. you wait for the wax to melt, you pour carefully, and you let it cure. nothing about the process can be rushed, which is kind of the point.

but sloday is more than candles.

i wanted to build something for people who are tired of performing productivity. for people who are starting to realize that a slow day is not a wasted day.

sloday is for quiet mornings, after-work resets, plans cancelled without guilt, and the small moments that do not need to be earned before they are allowed to matter.

it’s a sloday.

sloday believes

01

no rush

you are allowed to move at your own pace, without turning it into a performance.

02

no apology

a quiet day does not need a reason. the moment counts because you decided it does.

03

slow is not a flaw

the to-do list will still be there tomorrow. this moment is here now.
