Welcome to Sloday. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of sloday.co (the "Site") and your purchase of any products from Sloday, a sole proprietorship operating under the name Sloday, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada ("Sloday," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase on this Site. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Products
All Sloday candles are made by hand in small batches. Minor variations in color, scent throw, and appearance between candles are normal and not considered defects. Product photos are representative but may differ slightly from the item you receive due to the handmade nature of each candle.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without notice. Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments. We do not store your full payment information.
4. Shipping & Returns
Shipping and returns are governed by our [Shipping & Returns policy], which forms part of these Terms.
5. Candle Use & Limitation of Liability
Sloday candles are open-flame products and must be used responsibly and in accordance with the care instructions provided with your order and on our website.
By purchasing and using a Sloday candle, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for following all burning instructions, including never leaving a lit candle unattended, keeping it away from flammable materials, drafts, children, and pets, and extinguishing it before the recommended wax level is reached.
- Sloday is not liable for any injury, property damage, or loss resulting from improper use, misuse, or failure to follow provided care instructions.
- You assume all risk associated with the use of an open-flame product when used as directed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sloday's total liability for any claim related to our products is limited to the purchase price of the product in question.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including but not limited to the Sloday name, logo, mascot ("Slo"), scent names, product descriptions, photography, and brand materials, is the property of Sloday and protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of this content without our prior written permission.
7. User-Generated Content
If you tag Sloday, send us photos, leave reviews, or otherwise share content involving our products on social media or directly with us, you grant Sloday a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost, share, and use that content across our marketing, website, and social channels. We'll always do our best to credit you when we do.
8. Customer Accounts
You may be required to create an account to complete certain purchases or access order history. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and for any activity under your account. Sloday is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
9. Promotions & Discount Codes
Discount codes are valid for one use per customer unless otherwise stated, cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly noted, and may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice. Sale items are final and not eligible for return or exchange.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
